What We Ate In Hawaii
The Food. Where do I even begin…some people come here for the surf, I come here for the food! LOL but really it’s amazing and SO fresh! From the shaved ice and açaí bowls to the burritos and sushi, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! Here are some of my favorite things we ate on our trip!
Starting with DONUTS… I seriously think about these all the time. I’ve never had a donut this good in my life. Satisfyingly crispy on the outside and perfectly soft and light on the inside. The flavors were unique, vibrant, and delicious. HOLEY GRAIL 10/10

We stopped here a couple of times for breakfast! Adorable organic bakery and coffee shop in the heart of Hanalei. Such a great spot to get a coffee and breakfast burrito! You will spot the local surfers coming in for their usual. It’s a must, absolutely delightful and smells heavenly! @hanaleibreadco
I dream of this place! BEST hotdog experience I’ve ever had. One day, I’ll back for sure! The toasty fresh baked bun, secret sauce, and tropical relishes are to die for! Loved the vibe, and it’s right at the beach. Puka Dog and the beach, a match made in heaven! @pukadogkauai 🫶
Incredible Food! The sushi is so fresh. Best I’ve ever had. We went there twice! Teriyaki Ahi Tuna Steak (a house specialty) served with the most delicious veg/rice side and melted butter is a MUST. For sushi you will not regret ordering the Napali Roll and Flyin’ Hawaiian. Both rolls are exceptional. The servers here are also very friendly and makes your dining experience even more enjoyable. This place is special! We drove right passed it on the way to the beach and made a note to stop by on the way back to the resort. I’m so glad we did! Such a gem of a place and a highlight on our trip for açaí bowls and shaved ice! Everything was so fresh and the fruit omg was note worthy! Plenty of outdoor seating to just hang and relax. On our day here, there were lots of hikers stopping by for a delicious treat! @kalaleahjuicehale
Hawaiian Shave Ice! Honestly one of the best things ever invented 🤗 we’re completely obsessed, and the babies would have lived off of jojo’s shaved ice if we had let them! We definitely made it a nightly treat after dinner! Such a sweet memory. My favorite was #2 on the menu Tropical Breeze (mango, guava, lilikoi) served with macadamia nut ice cream and homemade haupia cream topping! It’s divine just like it sounds 😋 I also loved #9 for some coffee! Oh how I wish I could have some after dinner tonight. @jojo’sshaveice
